Report on: Dobrodelni praznični bazar

Introduction:
This report is penned by a Gimnazija Jesenice student with a purpose of presenting this traditional event’s description, purpose and organization, as well as TO comment on the experience. It is made to fulfil the necessities of the ITS subjects and is posted on 4-je iz Gimjes website.
Description:
This event took place on 3. December in the lesser gym of Gimnazija Jesenice. It lasted from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 15:30 to 18:00 in the afternoon. There were 15 participants selling hand made products and many more students casually helping. The products, which include, cookies, candles, soaps and garlands were all well presented and visible on repurposed school desks. Thematically- appropriate music played in the background.
Organization:
The whole charitable event was organized by two techers Sonja Janša Gazič and Natalija Zaveljcina, who were also overseeing the event as it took place. The money made from sale, was put in the school fund, to help students with financial issues.
Purpose:
The purpose of this event was to raise money for fellow students. All products that were sold had a recommended price, meaning buyers could pay more or less money than what the product was actually worth.
Comments:
People involved in preparation for this event did a great job. Products sold were either very useful or authentic and clearly had a lot of work put into them. The only downside is that the event probably wasn’t advertised well and because of that, had fewer visitors and customers. Nevertheless, I look forward to attending it in the future.
